Up on the Rooftop
Today, we took a field trip to the roof top of the National Marine Life Center’s new marine animal hospital! We learned about the standing seam method of metal roof construction and the Simple Saver insulation liner that is so safe you can walk on it. In fact, it is OSHA-approved for fall safety. Brian and I most enjoyed the amazing views of the Bourne Bridge, the Railroad Bridge, and the Cape Cod Canal.

The left (west) side is complete with Simple Saver, two layers of insulation, and the roof panels. The right (east) side just has the Simple Saver.

The National Marine Life Center is an independent, non-profit 501(c)(3) marine animal hospital and science and education center dedicated to rehabilitating for release stranded sea turtles, seals, dolphins, porpoises, and small whales, and to advancing scientific knowledge and education in marine wildlife health and conservation.

Exciting stuff to see as the NMLC hospital takes shape! So glad that the rains did not destroy the work that had been done by last weekend!
