The IFAW Marine Mammal Rescue group wound up picking up the seal the next day because it was still on the beach and began looking dehydrated (dry around the eyes). IFAW volunteers transported the seal to Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut for rehabilitation. Thanks for asking, Mia!
