Kennedy suffered from a broken jaw and multiple facial injuries that were possibly caused by entanglement in some sort of marine debris. Additionally, she had severe respiratory distress and was emaciated and dehydrated. Her treatment included pain meds, antibiotics, nebulizing treatment, tube feeding, and wound care.
