Sealphen King was entangled in plastic rope in Chatham Harbor.

The Cape Cod Wildlife Festival showcases local environmental groups dedicated to Cape Cod wildlife and habitats. This year, the Festival highlights the rapidly increasing problem of plastics in the environment, both on land and in water, and its impact on Cape Cod. Bans of plastic shopping bags in many Cape Cod towns are just one step in the right direction. Members of the Cape Cod Wildlife Collaborative will offer educational and entertaining activities to help Festival attendees understand the dangers.

Rick the Creature Teacher will talk about wildlife!

The festival is underwritten by generous grants from Cape Cod Five Foundation and media sponsor Cape Cod Media Group. For further information on the Collaborative or Festival, please contact Heather Rockwell at (508) 420-0780 or hrockwell@bcleanwater.org.
