HOURS:  The National Marine Life Center’s Marine Animal Discovery Center and Gift Shop is open from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day, 10-5 daily.  We are also open selected days throughout the year.

ADMISSION:  Free, except as noted during special events.  Educational programs have an additional charge.

BUSINESS OFFICE HOURS:  NMLC’s Business Office is open year-round, Monday through Friday (except federal holidays) from 9-5:30.  If you have questions about NMLC, want to become a member or make a donation, are interested in volunteering, or would like to schedule an education program, feel free to stop by!

FEBRUARY VACATION WEEK 2012 SCHEDULE:

Marine Animal Discovery Center OPEN
February 18-26, 10 am – 5 pm.

~ For the Love of Turtles Open House, February 18, 10-2:  Join us for our February Open House! Explore the Discovery Center, make a marine animal valentine, enjoy arts and crafts and games and refreshments. Meet Catch-22, Bruce, Vesuvius, and Pierce, and our eight hatchlings. Tour our new marine animal hospital.  Members:  FREE.  Non-members:  $5/person.

~ Fins & Flippers Club.  Monday (Feb. 20) through Friday (Feb. 24) at 11 a.m.  Join us for a marine animal-themed story time!  Different themes every day.  All ages welcome; most suitable for children ages 3-8.  Children must be supervised.  Daily Themes:  Feb. 20: Sea Turtles; Feb. 21: Seals; Feb. 22: Dolphins & Whales; Feb. 23: Manatees; Feb. 24: Sharks.
Members:  $3/child/program.  Non-members:  $5/child/program

~ Marine Animal Medical Mystery.  Monday (Feb. 20) through Friday (Feb. 24) at 2 p.m.  What does it take to be a marine animal care technician?  What are some of the questions and “mysteries” involved in wildlife rehabilitation?  Each day we’ll learn how to care for a different animal.  Best suited for ages 8-12.  Space is limited to 12 children.  Please reserve your spot by calling (508) 743-9888, x-12 at least 24 hours in advance.
Members:  $3/child/program.  Non-members:  $5/child/program
