Click here to see a list of former seal and sea turtle patients.
Click here to see a list of headstart red bellied cooters (turtles) and permanent resident box turtles.

Your adoption package includes the following.

  • A personalized adoption certificate;
  • An 8 1/2″ x 11″ profile with photo of your chosen animal;
  • A 10″ plush seal or turtle toy; and
  • A one year “Gray Seal” family membership ($50 value).

It’s a $85 value for only $35 (plus shipping and handling)! Best of all, your adoption donation will help provide the food, medicine, supplies, and care your animal needs to get well and be released back into the ocean. For animals that have already been released, your adoption donation will help provide food, medicine, supplies, and care for the next animal in need. Thank you!

Naming Sponsorship!
Want to help more? Naming Sponsorships are available for many of the turtles. Your $500 naming sponsorship pays for even more of the food, medicine, supplies, equipment, electricity, and professional care that each turtle needs to recover. Each sponsorship comes with all the benefits of a regular symbolic adoption PLUS the opportunity to NAME the turtle you choose, a “Behind-the-Scenes” Tour for up to eight people, and an “Animal Caretaker” Experience for up to two people. For more information, contact Casey at cshetterly@nmlc.org or 508-743-9888 x303. Thank you!

*** Please use the “Special Instructions” or “Instructions to Merchant” section to indicate to whom you want the Adoption Certificate addressed, and, if desired, a gift message. Otherwise, we will assume the person ordering the package is the person who should be named on the certificate. Also, please use the “Shipping Address” to indicate to whom the package should be mailed. If you don’t see these fields (they don’t always show up), please contact Casey at cshetterly@nmlc.org or 508-743-9888 x303 with your instructions. Thank you! ***

Shipping & Handling Note: Shipping is via regular, first-class U.S. mail. The cost also includes a small handling charge. The charge is for domestic U.S. shipping only. Please contact Casey at cshetterly@nmlc.org or 508-743-9888 x303 for international rates or special instructions. Please note you can avoid any shipping charges by stopping by the National Marine Life Center at 120 Main Street, Buzzards Bay, to purchase your Adoption Package in person. Please call first before you stop by to make sure someone is available in the office, as we otherwise may be in with the animals. Thank you!
