2nd Annual “Deals For Seals” Yard Sale Fundraiser

Yard Sale Flyer 2013-09-28It has been one year since the National Marine Life Center opened the doors of it’s new hospital to seal patients. Since then we have taken in nine sick and injured seals (and 8 Kemp’s ridley Sea Turtles). We have been able to provide care for these animals thanks to you! Feeding, cleaning up after, and supporting the medical care of our fuzzy friends can get a bit expensive.

The National Marine Life Center will be Hosting the 2nd annual “Deals for Seals” Community Yard Sale to help raise money for seal rehabilitation. Here are the details and there are several ways you can help!

“Deals for Seals” Giant Community Yard Sale Fundraiser

When: Saturday September 28, 2013  9am- 1pm
Where: The National Marine Life Center Parking Lot, 120 Main St Buzzards Bay, MA

How you can Help:

Donate: You can donate gently used household items. Please no clothing, televisions, vcr’s or junk! We are looking for items that will be sell-able and attractive to potential shoppers. Remember we are trying to raise money to help the animals. You can drop off items at NMLC located at 120 Main St in Buzzards Bay between 10am and 5pm now through September 27th. IMG_0141Rent a Space: For a $25 donation you can rent a space to sell your own items and keep the profits. Take advantage of a larger audience and set up a booth at our sale. Note: You are responsible for providing your own tables, chairs, tents etc., bringing your own items and setting up the day of the sale, and removing all unsold items at the end of the event. No food or beverage sales allowed. NMLC will provide a concession stand. Contact Kathy at kzagzebski@nmlc.org or 508-743-9888 to reserve your space.

Volunteer: We will need volunteers to help with sorting items the week before the event, setting up the day before/day of, working the sale, and clean up/tear down. If you would like to offer assistance with a volunteer shift plase contact Adele at araphael@nmlc.org or 508-743-9888.
