Mermaid Ball Spotlight: Our New Auctioneer

This year we’d like to welcome Bill Murphy to our team. Bill is the president of the Cape Cod Charitable FunRaisers. He founded the organization in 1994 with the desire to plan and present events for nonprofit organizations. Some of these have included Roll the Rock, Summerfest, The Night of Gratitude, and the Holiday Season Spectacle of Trees. His very first fundraiser, The Last Gasp Bike, Boat ‘n Bake, began in 1992, and continues to be one of Cape Cod’s largest fundraisers. 100% of funds raised through these events go to the non-profits involved, and the Mermaid Ball auction will follow this trend.

Bill is a licensed auctioneer in Massachusetts, and a graduate of both the Missouri School of Auctioneering and Boston College. He has participated in over 50 auctions so far, and we can’t wait to add one more. We are looking forward to working with Bill and hope he will bring even more fun to the table at this year’s Mermaid Ball!
