November 20, 2017 Seals 2 Sea Turtles 2
SEALS
Bella LugoSEAL– Bella is doing quite well! Her face is healing very nicely and she is much more independent when eating! She loves her new life in ST2 (the big pool!!) and likes eating fish! However, she is no longer the only seal in house!
Scarlett JohanSEAL– Scarlett is one of our new weanlings; she came to us from Phippsburg, ME and was triaged at Marine Mammals of Maine for a few days prior to coming to us. She is a spitfire and has certainly made a name for herself here at the hospital. Scarlett has plenty of spirit and is looking great!
TURTLES
Roman– Roman has been with us for about a year now. He and Gunst were recently moved back to a large tank and they both love it! He is eating well and loving the new larger space to swim around. Roman has even recently started using both of his front flippers!
Gunst– Gunst was moved to the large tank along with Roman and is having a great time! The larger space allows him more swim time to recover. He even receives physical therapy multiple times a day and is showing lots of promise!
