Mermaid Ball Auction- Something for Everyone

The National Marine Life Center’s signature fundraising event the Mermaid Ball is fast approaching on August 25th 2012 from 6-10:30 PM at Willowbend Country Club in Mashpee. The Mermaid Ball committee promises a fanciful evening of mermaids, pirates, and sea creatures and has been especially dedicated this year to finding something for everyone as part of the silent and live auctions. We have items for the sports enthusiast, the adventurous at heart, and those with wander lust. Get your Mermaid Ball tickets today so that you don’t miss your chance to snag some of these fabulous items.

For the adventurous among us you won’t want to miss the Stand Up Paddle Board package, donated by Sessler Wrecking and Sailworld. The highest bidder will be taking home a 10’6″ ACE-TEC Stand Up Paddleboard, a high-performance board for beginner to advanced riders looking to explore both flatwater cruising and wave surfing.  The package includes matching paddle and a gift certificate for one paddle boarding lesson. Even a beginner can jump into this popular sport with ease with this all inclusive package valued at $1500. If you would rather explore underwater than at it’s surface, you might be more interested in the PADI SCUBA diving certification course with mask, fins, and snorkel donated by the Buzzards Bay Dive Center valued at $800.
