A Different Kind of Needlework
Last week we told you about the new seal jump net installed on one of our rehabilitation tanks. This net is important to prevent animals from getting out of the tank. We had a few holes in the net, and thankfully Captain Edward Bruce, Staff Associate for Marine Operations at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, came to our rescue!
Using a special “net needle”, Capt. Bruce threaded new twine into the gaps in our existing netting. The results are better than new!
