Audition Notice – Murder “Seals” the Deal

Casting (non-Equity) for MURDER SEALS THE DEAL, a comic mystery play performed at Mezza Luna Restaurant in Buzzards Bay on April 7, 2013, to benefit the National Marine Life Center (www.nmlc.org).  The Playwright/ Director’s work has been produced in New York, London, Edinburgh, and Australia.

Piece is a comic mystery with five roles.  Actors must be adept at both verbal and physical comedy, with precise timing. Rehearsals start week of February 18, and will be 2-3X week, including some weekends (though may not be needed for every rehearsal).  Actors must be flexible for rehearsals as needed during the final week before the show.

Also looking for prop person — would require a few rehearsals toward the end of the rehearsal period, strong timing, and individual will be stationed behind scenery during the performance.

Roles open:

JOYE — 20’s – early 30s — Daddy’s little air-headed rich girl volunteer — until she reveals her dark side.

TERI — late 20s – early 40s — hard-working, smart, efficient, part-time animal care technician, wants to be the full-time, usually feels overlooked.

MITCH — 30s – late 40s — The inspector who’s inspecting more than the seal tank.

Bring a headshot, resume, and  a 2 minute comic monologue and be prepared to cold-read sides.

 

Open auditions Mon. Feb. 11 & Wed. Feb. 13  from 5:30-7:30 PM
with callbacks Fri. Feb. 15, from 5:30-7:30 PM.
