Back to Seallywood!
Seally Fields and Seal Patrick Harris have successfully risen to the A-listers of marine animal rehabilitation! They both have come a long way since their arrival here just over a month ago and are ready to give it their all back at Seallywood (in the ocean).
Seally Field, named for the actress Sally Field, was collected from Owl’s Head, Maine by Marine Mammals of Maine (MMoME). She arrived here on June 3, weighing 8.5 kg (20.9 lb) as an abandoned dependent pup. Shortly after admit Seally spiked a high fever and suffered from seizures. Seal Patrick Harris, named for actor Neal Patrick Harris, he was collected by the same group from Kennebunk, Maine. He was brought in to us on June 7, weighing 7.3 kg (16.1 lb). He too was an abandoned, dependent pup and came in with low sodium, and dehydration.
After hundreds of hours of painstaking care by dedicated animal care staff, volunteers, and interns, these two sealebrities are ready to return to the wild! They were released on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Sagamore Beach.
