Pouring Concrete!
Construction of NMLC’s new marine animal hospital began in earnest March 20 with the pouring of concrete for the footings. Because we are in a flood plain and elevating the building, and because we are using a pre-engineered structure, there is a LOT of concrete work ahead! For now, we’re on our way! Stay tuned….
Fletcher gets ready for release!
Fletcher is a loggerhead sea turtle who stranded, cold-stunned, on November 28, 2008 in Truro. He was rescued by volunteers from the MassAudubon Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, triaged at the New England Aquarium, and transferred to NMLC on December 4.
