Catching Joy and the Blue Bunny help Save Turtles and support NMLC
Catching Joy was pleased to support the National Marine Life Center (NMLC) and host two children’s events at The Blue Bunny, a bookstore in Dedham, MA on March 25 and April 4. Founder and Executive Director, Joy Olaes Surprenant, read books about turtles and other marine wildlife. Joy, who serves on the NMLC Board, talked with young children and their families about the animal hospital that NMLC is building and how they are helping to protect and rehabilitate the animals. She focused the discussion on how kids can get involved and help make a difference- don’t litter, care and respect animals, raise money, spread the word! Kids were enthusiastic about taking action and doing their part to save animals! Catching Joy led the kids in a simple arts and crafts project where they made paper plate turtles and decorated them. They were very proud to take home their turtles! See www.catchingjoy.org.
