Neither Rain, Nor Sleet…
The current wet weather we have had in New England hasn’t kept the construction crews from Simmons Concrete from pouring and framing. Almost 75 cubic yards of concrete went into this wall! This completes the foundation on the east side. Only two more foundation walls to go!!!

NMLC would like to thank the Town of Bourne Department of Public Works for helping with to haul away and dispose of 1800 yards of unuseable fill. As part of NMLC’s commitment to recycle and reuse, the fill removed from our site will be used as cap on the landfill.
Building Walls!!!
We are on our way to making the hospital a reality. Walls are being constructed and concrete is flowing… The beautiful weather is providing the crews from Simmons Concrete plenty of opportunity to construct the nearly 10 foot high walls which will soon support the new building. Pouring Concrete!
Construction of NMLC’s new marine animal hospital began in earnest March 20 with the pouring of concrete for the footings. Because we are in a flood plain and elevating the building, and because we are using a pre-engineered structure, there is a LOT of concrete work ahead! For now, we’re on our way! Stay tuned….
