Inside the Foundation Walls
With the foundation walls 90% complete, it’s hard to see what’s happening on the construction site these days. Although mostly hidden behind the walls, workers continue to make progress building NMLC’s new marine animal hospital.
This week, I took a tour inside the foundation walls to see what was happening. There is a LOT of concrete and steel involved!
It’s amazing to think that the floor of the hospital will begin at the top of the foundation wall – above my head!
Bill Baker from WW Reich, Inc., our General Contractors for the project, was putting up insulation in the corner of the building that will eventually support our new sea turtle ward.
Tyler from R&H Construction then came along and poured fill.
