Kennedy is a weanling female harbor seal that stranded October 14, 2014 in Rye, NH. She was rescued by Seacoast Science Center and brought to the National Marine Life Center for treatment.
Kennedy suffered from a broken jaw and multiple facial injuries that were possibly caused by entanglement in some sort of marine debris. Additionally, she had severe respiratory distress and was emaciated and dehydrated. Her treatment included pain meds, antibiotics, nebulizing treatment, tube feeding, and wound care.
