Murder & Comedy To Raise Funds for Marine Life Hospital
The National Marine Life Center is delighted to announce a murder mystery dinner fundraiser, taking place at Mezza Luna, 253 Main Street, Buzzards Bay on Sunday, April 7, 2013. The play, Murder “Seals” the Deal, was created specifically for the event, inspired by the Marine Life Center’s mission and commitment — but pushing some comic boundaries.
In Murder “Seals” the Deal, veterinarian Luke Heller has a problem — a dead body in the seal tank, and a NOAA inspector on the way. He contacts his former flame, Detective Adrienne Foxx, to help solve the situation, along with animal care technician Teri and well-meaning, but spacey volunteer Joye.
“I’m really excited about this event,” says NMLC’s executive director Kathy Zagzebski. “It’s fun to have a murder mystery written just for us! And, Mezza Luna is the perfect venue. Their space is fantastic, their food is wonderful, and they’ve always been supportive of our mission.”
Doors open at 6:30 PM on the night of the event for a 7 PM start. Latecomers will be seated at management’s discretion. The $49 ticket includes a three course meal, the play, and a chance to win a prize figuring out “whodunit” and why.
