My Finale

intern

Sam feeding the red bellied cooters. It seems like just yesterday I was walking through these doors for the very first time, and now,  after today, that time is  over. Though I’ve only been here for a short few months I feel like I’ve gotten to know everyone here really well. It will be sad for me to go.

So with that being said I’d like to give some shoutouts and thanks. First I would like to thank Jen, who trained me on my very first day. I will always remember my first cold snowy day here, when she and I had to throw rock salt down on the steps.

Next I would like to thank Adele, who is always in a bright cheery mood. I will always appreciate how kind she is. Thank you, Adele, because without you here it just would not be the same.

I would also like to thank Kate. Kate, I wish you well with your growing family. I would like to thank Kate for all of her hard work. Thank you for always answering my questions, no matter how silly they may have been.  You were always there to help me when I made a mistake, and I will always appreciate you for it.

Kathy, where do I even begin. Without you this place would surely fall apart. I cannot begin to thank you enough for what you do here. Thank you for all your help and your teachings. Your kind nature is much appreciated and I’m so glad that I’ve gotten the chance to work with you.

Sam checking on the red bellied cooters. But overall I would like to thank everyone. Everyone I’ve worked with has made me better.  Each person I have worked with has shown me a new skill or trick that I will be able to use for the rest of my life. I’ve learned so much the past few months and have met so many amazing people. Without the work of the amazing volunteers this place would not be running with such greatness. Everyone has helped me grow so much in my time here.

To everyone I have worked with I would just like to say thank you so much. I will miss all of you and I hope to see you all in the near future.
