NMLC Pairs with Playwright for Family-Friendly Comic Mystery

Bourne Cultural Council

Seal Tides: Presentations can be murder! The National Marine Life Center is delighted to announce a second partnership with playwright Eva Schegulla for SEAL TIDES, a new family-friendly comic mystery geared to the Center’s mission, to debut this spring.

This program is supported in part by grants from the Bourne Cultural Council and the Mid-Cape Cultural Council, local agencies which are supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

NMLC is seeking donations from the public to complete the project. Donors are invited to contribute via an Indigogo campaign. A number of benefits are available to donors.

This is the second partnership between the NMLC and Ms. Schegulla, who joined the Board of Directors in 2013.  Their previous collaboration, in April 2013, was the family-friendly comic mystery MURDER “SEALS” THE DEAL, presented at Mezza Luna in Buzzards Bay.  The production sold out and added an extra performance.

Ms. Schegulla is a full-time writer and internationally-produced playwright with screenwriting experience.  She moved to Cape Cod in 2010 after a career working backstage on Broadway and in film and television production in New York.  Since moving to the Cape, two of her plays were part of Cape Cod Community College’s Play with Your Food series, and she provides writing and editing services to an international client base.  She is also on the Board of Directors for the Cape Cod Writers Center.

Stay tuned for more information about performance dates, times, and tickets!
