Happy #GivingTuesday from the Turtles!Today, November 29, 2016 is #GivingTuesday. It’s a day to celebrate those causes that are important to us, and why we care. Click here to support the National Marine Life Center.

Today is also #TurtleTuesday. This is particularly appropriate because today we are admitting 11 new sea turtles. These are in addition to the 15 we admitted on Sunday. And the four we already had in our hospital.

Our volunteers are busy caring for turtles!You make it possible to care for these 30 critically endangered Kemp’s ridley sea turtles. Thank you.

You also make it possible to care for our eight headstarting red bellied cooters, an endangered species of fresh water turtle, as well as our two box turtles and one diamondback terrapin whose illnesses and injuries prevent them from being back into the wild. Thank you.

You help us rehabilitate seals. You help us learn more about wildlife health and our ocean ecosystem through our veterinary science program. You help us inspire the next generation of ocean conservationists through our environmental education program. Thank you.
