Spring Splash Open House!

event

Come learn about Seals during April Vacation Week!If you’re scrambling to find fun and educational activities for your child this April vacation, you can relax because here at the National Marine Life Center, we’ve got it covered.

Join us for our April Open House, kicking off with our Spring Splash on Saturday, April 13th from 10-2! Your kids will be able to explore the discovery center, make a marine animal craft project, enjoy games and refreshments, tour our new marine animal hospital and even see our four sea turtle patients!

After the Spring Splash Open House, we will be hosting educational events all week long! Each day will feature a new marine animal like seals, turtles, and sharks oh my! Each day starts off at 11:00 with the Little Flippers Club where guests will be listening to stories about the featured animal, and making a marine animal craft featuring the daily animal. At 12:00, 2:00, and 4:00 PM we will be giving a patient update about our four sea turtle patients, Townsend the Harbor Seal, Howland the Gray Seal, and our eight red bellied cooters. At 1:00 PM things will be taking a mysterious turn. We will be solving a marine animal medical mystery where attendees will learn how to care for a different animal, and some of the mysteries involved in wildlife rehabilitation. At 3:00 PM guests will do a little exploring in our discovery center for our Marine Animal Exploration. Through hands on activities, kids will learn about all their favorite marine animals, like who they are, where they live, and what they like to eat!

We hope you’ll join us in starting your spring off with a splash at the National Marine Life Center.
