It’s summertime! The National Marine Life Center has a whole schedule of fun and educational summer programming. With a different animal theme every week, there’s something for everyone!
LITTLE FLIPPERS CLUB
Tuesdays & Thursdays at 11 a.m.
Join us for a marine animal themed story time and craft project! Themes listed below. All ages welcome, and most suitable for children ages 3-8. Children must be supervised. 45-60 min.
COST: $5/child/program (members $3).
MARINE ANIMAL MEDICAL MYSTERY
Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays at 11 a.m.
What does it take to be a marine animal care technician? What are some of the questions and “mysteries” involved in wildlife rehabilitation? Each week we’ll learn how to care for a different animal (themes listed below). Best suited for ages 8-14. Please note that there will be no exposure to live animals during this program. Program lasts approximately 60 min.
COST: $5/child/program (members $3).

- Week of July 3: Seals, Sea Lions, & Walrus
- Week of July 10: Turtles & Sea Turtles
- Week of July 17: Dolphins, Porpoises, & Whales

- ‘Week of July 31: Turtles & Sea Turtles
- Week of Aug. 7: Mermaid & Pirate Party! (Costumes optional!)
- Week of Aug. 14: Dolphins, Porpoises, & Whales
- Week of Aug. 21: Manatees & Dugongs
