USCG Officer Holds Reenlistment Ceremony at NMLC

MST1 Allison Miller taking the USCG oath of office.“I, Allison Miller, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniformed Code of Military Justice. So help me God.”

This was the oath spoken by MST1 Allison Miller today at her U.S. Coast Guard reenlistment ceremony held at the National Marine Life Center.  MST1 (Marine Science Technician First Class) Miller is a 9 1/2 year veteran of the Coast Guard.  She love her job at the Marine Safety Detachment on Cape Cod, and is eager to serve another 4 year tour of duty.  She also loves marine animals so when she requested to hold her reenlistment ceremony at the National Marine Life Center, we were happy to agree!

Congratulations, Allison, and thank you for your service to our country and our oceans!
